Investor Advisory Service recently won honors again in the Hulbert Financial Digest’s list of top-performing investment newsletters over the past decade. In “The Virtues of Consistency,” an annual cover story disclosing those on the Investment Newsletter Honor Roll, HFD editor Mark Hulbert listed the top performers and criteria for selection.
Using the Wilshire 500 as the benchmark for beating the market in any given calendar year, Hulbert ranked newsletters over a decade, from 2004 to 2013. In analyzing IAS, Hulbert also included the newsletter’s 15-year results, proving its steady track record. For the decade analyzed, “IAS handily beats the Wilshire 500 on a risk-adjusted basis, with annual total return of 11.1% compared to the annual return of 8.3%,” Hulbert said.
This success is built on a solid foundation; IAS has been advising investors since 1973. Each month, expect detailed company information and three recommended stocks (including stocks IAS no longer recommends, as necessary) in its monthly editions. Click here to subscribe.
